Warranty Policy – Cell phone (Smartlink Technologies)

Covered under warranty

  • The warranty of the product extends for a period of 36 months, for the official units, commencing from the date of activation.
  • In 1st year of warranty Hardware, Software and Service charges will be covered in warranty.
  • In 2nd and 3rd year of warranty only service charges and software will be covered. Other charges like Logistic costs (500 Rupees) and Spare Parts costs will be paid by customer.
  • This warranty covers the handsets only. There is no warranty on allied accessories such as Battery, Charger or Headphones.

Not covered under warranty

This warranty is subjected to the following terms and conditions:

  • Any defect arising due to misuse of the device, damages due to liquid ingress, physical damage, normal wear and tear will not be covered by this warranty.
  • This warranty is void if the unit is tempered with altered and repaired by unauthorized party and if the warranty seal on the unit is broken.
  • The warranty will be void, if the IMEI of the unit is deleted, tampered, or altered rendering it difficult to identify the product.
  • Damages caused to the unit, by accidents, short circuit are not covered by this warranty.
  • Burns due to any reason like power failure or severe voltage surge will not be covered under warranty.
  • The box with serial number must be preserved during the warranty period..
  • Customer will be required to present warranty card when handing over unit for repair or maintenance under warranty.

Conditions apply:

  • Defective Product can be reported at Mi/Xiaomi authorized Service Centre within 3 years of activation date/POP invoice
  • Product handset, if falls in software issue, only mi customer care centre will update software with official Mi flash Tool and tested ROM/Firmware
  • Each claim could be entertained that fulfills warranty policy and there will be no damage, burn, tampered, liquid damaged, third party repair or any misuse by customer
  • CRO/Technical concern will disassemble the device before submitting the claim, in case of finding any symptom that are not coverd in the warranty criteria the customer will be informed accordingly.
  • Mi Customer Care Center will fix the device within the given time period, exceptional cases such as PNA (Part not available) or waiting for approval, given time could be varied though it will be informed to the customer.
  • 10 days replacement offer will apply only for new purchases, Invoice date will be considerable (Complete Box and accessories must be entered)

Replacement will be only in 2 conditions:

    • The product is faulty on delivery i.e. is not functioning properly.
    • The product delivered, is wrong i.e. Delivered product is different from product ordered

*In case of wrong product delivery, product should be unused, packed and its seal should be intact for it to be replaced. Product will not be replaced if the customer opens the seal and uses the product.

  • Replacement handset shall be a new or slightly used in same model depends on warranty category such as DOA/IW/OW etc.
  • Mi Customer Care CRO is authorized to void warranty if found device bent, drop damaged or liquid damaged.
  • Bill of Purchase is mandatory for in warranty claims, no accessory to be submitted along with device.
  • For out of warranty/damaged cases, customer must pay the spare part costs and service charges to the service centre (Lab/Technical staff can fix/return any device if found some PCB failure inside).
  • Customer’s data should be saved by the customer, in few cases device has to be flashed, depending on the nature of fault like dead, restart, boot up issue or device hanging up.
  • For warranty card refresh customer/dealer can inform to one of the Sales Executives/Area Sale Manager or After Sale Service concerns
  • Customers can dispatch their defective devices directly to Head Office from outstations where Mi Customer Care Centre is not operational.

Mi Eco Products – Smartlink Warranty Policy

Our Eco Products come with 10 days replacement and refund warranty and 3 Month after sale warranty.

  • Replacement and Refund warranty will be only for first 10 Days.
  • Replacement will be only in 2 conditions:
    • The product is faulty on delivery i.e. is not functioning properly.
    • The product delivered, is wrong i.e. delivered product is different from product ordered.
      • In case of wrong product delivery, product should be unused, packed and its seal should be intact for it to be replaced. Product will not be replaced if the customer opens the seal and uses the product.
  • After 10 days, customer can claim after sales warranty in case product has been damaged or is not performing as expected. In this case Smartlink will provide repair services; however, customer will have to bear spare parts and logistic costs of the repair.
  • List of Products and their warranty periods

Under prescribed warranty policy, Smartlink may replace or repair the accessory as long it will be in warranty and shows no:

  1. Sign of physical abuse, broken or tempered
  2. Liquid/Moisture affected or water damaged
  3. Badly burnt due to lightning strikes or short circuit etc.
  4. Damage caused by use with non-Xiaomi Accessories
  5. Damage caused by accident, flood, fire, earthquake or other external causes
  6. Modifications to any part of the Product

Replacement product shall be a new or slightly used. Whether defective items or components are to be replaced or repaired shall be left to the sole discretion of Supplier.
No Xiaomi reseller, dealer or employee is authorized to make any modification, extension, or addition to this Limited Warranty.

How to obtain warranty policy?

Please follow the steps below to return an accessory for a refund or warranty replacement.
Call to Smartlink Customer Support Line (Mi Store) at 03111111050 or email to (info.slt.com.pk). We are standing by to answer all your queries from Monday to Saturday, (10 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.). Our representative will provide instructions on where to send your accessory for repair or replacement.
When we receive the in-warranty product, we will send you a replacement free-of-charge.

Important Information:

  • Smartlink assess each warranty case individually and holds the right to pass the final judgement on case to case basis. Acceptance or Rejection of warranty shall be left on the sole discretion of the company.
  • Smartlink does not cover the cost of shipping/Courier the damaged/Misused items to our service centre; we will, however, ship replacements to customer at no cost.
  • We recommend using a traceable shipping method (TCS, Call Courier, Leopard,Trax etc.); we are not responsible for any lost or damaged items during shipment to the service centre/Mi Store.
  • Depending on the availability of the product, we will send the replacement accessory/Product within 5 – 10 business days. The warranty on the replacement accessory is valid for the balance of the warranty on the original product.
